Model Windmill Features
Our replica windmills have been made with a wonderful attention to detail. They have a screwed construction, direct-action drive shaft and self-reefing tail that regulates the fan speed in high winds by pulling the fan out of the wind and therefore slowing it down, making them as authentic as possible.
Our pumping model windmill can be used to circulate water in garden features such as fishponds and fountains and the non-pumping windmill can be retrofitted with a pump at a later stage.
Construction and Materials
The fan and tower components are laser cut from galvanised steel sheet metal. The bright galvanised finish will become dull over time, but the galvanised steel will provide protection from rust for many years in the harsh Australian conditions.
Galvanised Steel and Finished Details
The pumping windmills come with 2” pump driven directly by the windmill head via the pump rod. It has a 19mm barb connection at the bottom of the pump to connect to the ‘Tank on Stand’ or other water source such as a pond.
